Walking Tours of Italy for Active Travelers

Incredible Hikes. Amazing Food. Life Experiences.

Looking for a Walking Tour of Italy? How about something a little unique, something "off the beaten path"? Go Get Lost has been leading small groups of active travelers on Walking Tours throughout Italy for over 25 years. As a result, we've been able create experiences that are both unique and memorable. Our owners, Jeff and Steve Fafoglia have been leading clients on these amazing adventures, introducing them to their favorite local restaurants, the best walks, and some of the best wines of Italy!

Our walking tours average around 12 people and the most we’ll have is 18. Our small groups also allow enough diversity and camaraderie among the group to provide for an interesting 8 days. We organize our tours so that we’re more like a band of friends traveling together rather than a highly-structured and impersonal crowd of strangers. You won’t find any “Hello, my name is” badges in our groups!

WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

FAQs

Who is Go Get Lost...Worldwide Adventures?

Based right here in the USA, Go Get Lost is a family business owned by Jeff Fafoglia, Steve Fafoglia, and Jason Allen, who have been leading groups of adventurous travelers all over the world since 1995.

They have built a team of some of the best local group leaders and guides on the planet, but even so, it’s not unusual to find at least one of the Go Get Lost owners accompanying the group on many of the adventures. They LOVE traveling and they LOVE to personally introduce new faces to their favorite spots.

How would you describe your tours?

Many terms can be used to describe our journeys; laid-back, fun loving and free wheeling are just a few that come to mind. Of course, we take good care of all the important stuff like accommodations and the like, but we leave plenty of opportunities for what we call “getting lost” or exploring on your own, with your friends or with your group leader.

Over the years, we’ve learned that the “getting lost” attitude allows us to experience all the fun and truly fond memories we bring home after a tour. We’ll take the real spontaneous fun over the pre-planned canned stuff any day!

What's great about a guided tour?

Over and over again we hear from our clients that they never realized taking a guided tour could be so different than the trips they planned and booked themselves. There are two common themes from the feedback we receive.

Carefree and Relaxing

We take care of all the details, both before and during your tour. At the end of each day, we tell you what time our first activity begins the next morning. That's all you really need to think about each day. No worrying about finding a bus or taxi each day, we take care of the transportation. No looking at maps, we'll guide you right to where you need to be. No agonizing over the seemingly endless restaurant reviews, we're going to take you to our favorites. This is what a relaxing and carefree vacation should be.

Truely Experiencing the Destination

There is visiting a destination, and then there's experiencing a destination. We believe these are two very different things. To experience a destination requires you to get off the beaten path, mingle with the locals, and to see the hidden gems that the typical visitor will never know existed. Imagine your Go Get Lost tour leader walking you down a seemingly empty road, only to come upon a non-descript door that opens to an incredible evening of Italian food, wine, and comraderie.

That's what our guided tours are going to give you, experiences that few others will bring back with them.

What is the typical group size for a tour?

We enjoy all the great benefits of being in a small group of friends without all the hassle that comes with the traditional group travel of yesteryear. We do this by using expert local guides and limiting our groups to just the right size.

Our walking tours average around 12 people and the most we’ll have is 18.

What makes Go Get Lost unique?

At Go Get Lost we know the best way to experience an area is to get out of the bus, put your feet on the ground and mix it up with the locals.

Only when you’re immersed in your surroundings and participating in the journey can you appreciate the stunning landscapes, the awe-inspiring history, the marvelous cuisine and the remarkable people that live there.

This is traveling.

This is how you truly enjoy all of the amazing places and wonderful souls on this planet. This idea is how we love to explore, and is what guides us as we create our tours.

Who will be our guides?

Go Get Lost has local Tour Leaders that have been leading our groups for years. For us, our local Tour Leaders are often much more than guides. After years of working together, we've actually become quite close friends with many of them. Each one brings their own unique personality that truly enhances each day of your Italian experience. They will be taking you to their favorite places...from incredible walks, to the best restaurants, and maybe they'll even introduce you to their favorite gelato shops!

At the end of your tour, you'll feel like you've established a lifelong friendship with your Go Get Lost Tour Leader.
